Callie + Rob – Remember, Rain is Good Luck

Anytime someone asks about a rain plan, I immediately think of Callie and Rob’s wedding day.  They got married on a gorgeous May day, when the rain just wouldn’t decide to stop.  It kept pouring on and off, making it impossible to use the Chapel.  This couple didn’t let that get them down at all.  They embraced everything, and the wedding was one of our favorites we have ever hosted at the Farmhaus.  

Callie is a local Seguin girl who now lives up in New York with her now husband Rob.  They agreed that they wanted a New York feel to this wedding, which included all dried florals and no cowboy hats.  That being said, remember, sometimes the most fun thing at your wedding is the one thing you didn’t want at all.  Rob got cowboy hats for all of his Groomsmen, and they wore them the entire wedding!!  They said they felt like honorary Texans!  Come wedding day, even Callie jumped on board the cowboy hat train and snapped some fun pics of her wearing Rob’s!  

When the rain wouldn’t let up, we decided to move things inside the barn.  We brought in extra chairs to create rows close to the Bride and Groom so immediate family could sit up close to the ceremony.  The dried florals and palm tree leaves suspended over the ceremony area provided an extra element that was super unique.  

Although they got married inside, Callie and Rob opted to take pictures in the Chapel and field in between the rain.  They really embraced the whole day and it was so beautiful to see them roll with the weather and only focus on the fact that they were marrying their best friend.  The wedding is one we still talk about today because of all the love in the room and mood they set for the whole wedding!
