Catie + Aamil – A Bright Winter Wedding

Catie and Aamil’s wedding was one that was near and dear to our hearts because we went to high school with Aamil and his older sister.  Knowing the couple on such a personal level only makes it even sweeter when the wedding day comes and we get to help bring their wedding to life.  

This wedding was full of color!  Coming from different backgrounds, it was important to Catie and Aamil that the two cultures both be represented at the wedding.  Their coordinator and florist helped them to creatively blend the cultures seamlessly.  

One of my favorite ways that Aamil’s culture was represented was through the marigold flower strands that were draped on both the ceremony backdrop and over the grand entrance to the reception area.  These colorful strands were bright and breathtaking and added an extra pop that really completed their bright color palette.  I remember when I saw them that although the day was cold and a little damp, these bright colors livened up the whole day!  Their florist, Reiley and Rose, did an incredible job really blending all the aspects they wanted represented.  

Some other fun details of their wedding that we loved were the to go biscuits they had for all the guests pups that had to stay at home!  It was absolutely precious that they even thought about the four legged friends that were unable to attend the wedding.  Another detail was the blankets they provided at the ceremony site.  It was so cute to see the guests cozying up in the winter weather to watch Catie and Aamil exchange their vows!  No detail was left out at their wedding!
